The Commission for Arts and Humanities (CAH) has embarked on an update of its 2009 Public ArtMaster Plan. The purpose of the update is to take a broad, fresh and inclusive look at public art in the District of Columbia, with a focus on the unique nature of CAH and how it can best serve the city, the community and artists.
CAH is working with the consulting team of Todd Bressi and Via Partnership (Meridith McKinley and Emily Blumenfeld), who also prepared the plan in 2009.
As part of the planning process, the consultants would like to talk with artists based in the District of Columbia to learn more about your ideas for the future of CAH’s Public Art Program. At this focus group the consultants hope to learn about:
· Artist’s ideas for the future of public art in Washington DC
· The kinds of opportunities of interest to DC-based artists
· The obstacles artists have to developing public art projects and a public art practice in DC
There are two options to attend, registration is required through the links below. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email from Via Partnership containing information about joining the meeting.
