WCADC Awarded for Community Activism in the arts at "Distance Learning" by Zsudayka Nzinga Terrell

During the Virtual Exhibition Opening Reception, Zsudayka honored three local artists/organizations for their activism work in the art community.

"Alongside honoring the work that our art teachers have done, we would like to take a moment to recognize arts professionals who we feel went above and beyond in making sure there were continued opportunities for artists in the District. We were impressed and inspired by your work to make sure artists continued to have opportunities to show their work and by your dedication to diversifying your organization as well as the creation of the scholarship program. Too often, arts professionals are unsung heroes. Your work deserves to be celebrated".

-Zsudayka Nzinga Terrell Artist, Curator, Educator Terrell Arts DC

We humbly accept this award and are grateful to have the opportunity to make a difference in our community. Thank you to Zsudayka for her support in the Arts.
